Rib Factory, Castle Hill

- by Sarah

Another birthday (this time my father in-law) and another place to dine. This is not my first time at Rib Factory as I think it might be a favourite of my father in-law but I have to confess I am not a rib fan. Way too messy for my liking but lucky for me there are other things on the menu.

My children love ribs and so lucky for them they have ribs on the kids menu that are reasonably priced (I refuse to spend $40 on a kid to eat ribs – mean mum!)

I've there other times when it's been rather busy but on my latest visit, it wasn’t. In fact we were the only ones there for about 30 minutes. This might have something to do with the renovations that are going on at the RSL Club but there was no impact on our dining experience.

The menu has changed slightly over the months but the same friendly staff are still there. Our waitress is one of the happiest people I have ever seen in the hospitality industry. She always has a smile on her face and goes out of her way to make your dining experience great.

You can check out the menu here.

Starters were ordered and delivered in a timely manner. Garlic Cob Loaf for 2 (we definitely would have been fine ordering the garlic cob loaf that serves 1) and Cheesy Fries with a Side of Ranch.

And then for the mains. Obviously, there were ribs and by all accounts they were great. I ordered the Petite Beef Fillet. It was cooked to perfection and delicious. Everyone must have been happy as all the plates were empty minutes after our meals arrived.

Finally, what birthday dinner is complete without dessert! Bring on the New York Cheesecake and Ice-cream Sundae. Sharing is caring but I am sure that I didn’t get my fair share as I was sharing with a very sweet toothed teenager!
